Third seminar on evaluation

Results of evaluations of technology-based care solutions for elderly people living at home

Le 19 juin 2012, MADoPA a organisé dans les locaux de MACIF Mutualité à Paris un séminaire international sur « Quels résultats des évaluations des solutions technologiques d’accompagnement des personnes âgées à domicile ? »

On 19 June 2012, MADoPA organised an international seminar on the “Results of evaluations of technology-based care solutions for elderly people living at home”, at the premises of MACIF Mutualité (a mutual sector healthcare and social protection service provider) in Paris.

In their introduction, Hervé Michel and Carolina Gutierrez-Ruiz (MADoPA) stressed how important this seminar was, given that up until now in France, there had been very few evaluations of technology-based care solutions for elderly people living at home, and very few papers had been published on the results of tested solutions.

Carrying on from the previous seminar on evaluation methods, the morning was dedicated to a presentation of results of evaluations of the acceptance and use of technology-based solutions:

  • Robotic solution–Quovadis project (Gérard Dubey, Télécom Sud Paris)
  • Telecare (Anne-France Kogan, École des Mines, Nantes)
  • Intergenerational Facebook – MAZADOO project (André Thépaut, Télécom Bretagne)

In the afternoon, and also carrying on from the previous seminar, evaluation results were presented from the ethical angle and the point of view of application of all-round evaluation methods:

  • Results of the EForTT European project, Ethical Framework for Telecare Technologies for older people at home (Dick Willems, University of Amsterdam)
  • Results of application of the MAST method in the Renewing Health European project, (Anna Kotzeva, Catalonia Evaluation Agency)
  • Results of the methods used by MADoPA in the ACCOMPANY European project (robotic solution) and in the ARPEGE project (frailty detection pack) funded by CARSAT Nord-Est (Hervé Michel, MADoPA)
